Glass and Mirror Industry

Full-Service Supplier
Rock Chemicals, Inc. provides the quality raw materials and chemicals needed for manufacturing glass products used in windows, bottles, drinkware and cookware, transfer piping, receptacles for highly corrosive liquids, optical glasses, lenses, windows for nuclear applications, mirrors, and more. We serve the architecture, laboratory, electronics, industrial, medical, paper, chemical, and oil and gas industries both domestically and internationally, and our streamlined ordering process lets you buy all the chemicals you need from one place at a competitive price.
Glass production relies on a small set of foundational raw materials. Silicon dioxide (SiO2), the primary constituent of glass, has traditionally been sourced as sand. Combined with calcium carbonate (limestone) as a flux and sodium carbonate as a stabilizer, these three compounds form the basis of virtually all commercial glass. For mirror manufacturing, silver nitrate is a critical input in the silvering process. We supply all of these materials as well as specialty chemicals for optical, coated, and specialty glass applications.
Large Inventory and Short Lead Times
Our extensive supply chain provides reliable access to the specialty chemicals glass and mirror operations require. From hydrofluoric acid for etching to silver nitrate for mirror coating and cerium compounds for polishing, we deliver consistently, safely, and at competitive pricing.
