Sunflower Fatty Acid is used as a raw material for the production of soaps, detergents, lubricants, cosmetics, emulsifiers, and biodiesel. It is also valued for its biodegradability and renewable origin, making it popular in environmentally friendly formulations.
Physical Properties
Sunflower Fatty Acid is a mixture of fatty acids primarily derived from sunflower oil, rich in unsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid and oleic acid, along with smaller amounts of saturated fatty acids like palmitic and stearic acids. It generally appears as a pale yellow to amber oily liquid at room temperature with a characteristic mild fatty odor. It is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents.
