Physical Properties
Sorbitan Monostearate is a nonionic surfactant and emulsifier produced by the esterification of sorbitol with stearic acid. It typically appears as a light cream to yellow waxy solid or powder and is insoluble in water but dispersible in warm water and soluble in oils. It is known for its ability to stabilize oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions.
