Sodium Peroxodisulfate
Industrial Application
In industry, sodium peroxodisulfate is widely used as a strong oxidizing agent, initiator for polymerization reactions (such as in the production of polymers and acrylates), etchant for printed circuit boards, and in cleaning and bleaching applications. It is also employed in water treatment processes for oxidation of organic contaminants and as a disinfectant.
Physical Properties
Sodium Peroxodisulfate is an inorganic oxidizing salt, appearing as a white crystalline solid or powder with strong oxidizing properties. It is highly soluble in water and stable under dry conditions but decomposes when exposed to heat, moisture, or contaminants.
