Physical Properties
Phosphorous Acid Solutions are clear, hygroscopic liquids with moderate acidity. They are soluble in water and have strong reducing properties due to the presence of phosphorous in the +3 oxidation state. The solutions are sensitive to oxidation, gradually forming phosphoric acid upon exposure to air or moisture.
