Olive Pomace Oil

Industrial Applications

Olive Pomace Oil is a vegetable oil obtained from the residual pulp of olives after the initial pressing for olive oil. In cosmetic and personal care manufacturing, it is widely used as an emollient and conditioning agent. Olive Pomace Oil is incorporated into soaps, body washes, lotions, creams, balms, hair conditioners, and massage oils to improve skin softness, moisture retention, and barrier protection. Additionally, food-grade Olive Pomace Oil is used in cooking, frying, and food processing applications where a stable vegetable oil with a mild flavor profile is required. Organic Olive Pomace Oil is produced in accordance with organic standards and is suitable for natural and clean-label food and personal care products. Kosher and halal grades are processed and certified to meet specific dietary and regulatory requirements, making them suitable for use in compliant food and personal care formulations.

Physical Properties

Olive Pomace Oil appears as a yellow to greenish oily liquid at room temperature with a mild, characteristic odor. It is insoluble in water but soluble in common organic solvents. The oil has a medium viscosity and good oxidative stability compared to many other vegetable oils due to its natural antioxidant content. Olive Pomace Oil remains stable under normal storage conditions but may oxidize with prolonged exposure to heat, air, or light. Its lubricity, spreadability, and skin-conditioning characteristics make it well suited for cosmetic and personal care formulations.
