Industrial Applications
Lauryl Dimethyl Amine is widely used as an intermediate in the production of quaternary ammonium compounds (quats), which serve as surfactants, antistatic agents, and disinfectants. It is also utilized in the formulation of corrosion inhibitors, flotation agents in mining, emulsifiers in personal care products, and textile softeners due to its surface-active and hydrophobic properties.

Lauryl Dimethyl Amine is a tertiary amine derived from lauryl alcohol or lauric acid. It typically appears as a colorless to pale yellow liquid or low-melting solid with a characteristic amine odor. It is insoluble in water but soluble in alcohols, hydrocarbons, and other organic solvents.
