Glycol Ether EP
Industrial Applications
Glycol Ether EP is a high-solvency glycol ether used extensively in coatings, inks, cleaners, and other industrial formulations. Its excellent coupling and coalescing properties make it ideal for waterborne resins, improving film formation and surface smoothness. Glycol Ether EP is also used as a viscosity modifier in paints and coatings and as a slow-evaporating solvent in cleaning products and industrial processes.
Physical Properties
Glycol Ether EP is a colorless, water-miscible liquid with a mild, less detectable ether-like odor. It exhibits slow evaporation, high flash point, and good chemical stability under normal conditions. Its high solvency and coalescing ability make it effective for both polar and non-polar substances, and it provides good viscosity control in waterborne systems.
