Glycol Ether EEP
Industrial Applications
Glycol Ether EEP is a slow-evaporating ether-ester solvent widely used in coatings, inks, and industrial polymers. Its linear structure and central propionyl group enhance flow and leveling properties, resulting in excellent film formation and smooth surfaces. Glycol Ether EEP is also used as a coalescing agent, coupling solvent, and in formulations requiring controlled evaporation and high solvency for a broad range of resins.
Physical Properties
Glycol Ether EEP is a clear, colorless liquid with a mild, characteristic ether-like odor. It is moderately soluble in water and highly soluble in many organic solvents. This compound has a relatively high boiling point, slow evaporation rate, and good chemical stability under normal conditions. Its unique structure provides enhanced solvency and film-forming abilities compared to other glycol ethers, making it ideal for specialized industrial applications.
