Dicumyl Peroxide
Industrial Application
Dicumyl Peroxide is widely used as a vulcanizing agent in the rubber and elastomer industry, as well as a crosslinking agent for polyethylene, polypropylene, and other polymers to improve thermal stability, mechanical strength, and chemical resistance. It is also employed as a polymerization initiator in certain resin and plastic formulations.
Physical Properties
Dicumyl Peroxide is an organic peroxide appearing as a white crystalline solid or powder with a faint aromatic odor. It is insoluble in water but soluble in many organic solvents.
