Physical Properties
Dichloromethane is a colorless, volatile liquid with a sweet, ether-like odor. It is moderately soluble in water and miscible with most organic solvents. Dichloromethane has a boiling point of approximately 40°C, a density higher than water, and low viscosity, making it easy to handle and evaporate quickly. Its chemical stability under normal conditions and strong solvency make it suitable for diverse industrial and pharmaceutical uses.
