Ammonium Peroxodisulfate
Industrial Application
Ammonium Peroxodisulfate is widely used as a polymerization initiator for acrylics, vinyl acetate, styrene, and other monomers. It is also employed in etching and cleaning of printed circuit boards, desizing and bleaching in textiles, and as a chemical for soil and wastewater treatment. Its strong oxidative properties make it useful in cosmetic formulations, such as hair bleaching products, and in certain analytical chemistry applications.
Physical Properties
Ammonium Peroxodisulfate is a white crystalline salt that is odorless, stable at room temperature, and highly soluble in water. It is a strong oxidizing agent and must be handled with care to prevent decomposition or hazardous reactions.
