2,5-Dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy) Hexane
2,5-Dimethyl-2,5-di(tert-butylperoxy) Hexane is an organic peroxide commonly appearing as a clear to pale yellow liquid with a faint odor. As a high-efficiency radical initiator, it decomposes upon heating to release free radicals, making it widely used in industry as a polymerization initiator for polyethylene, polypropylene, and other polyolefins, as well as a cross-linking agent in rubber and plastic processing. Its controlled decomposition profile provides excellent stability at room temperature with predictable radical release at elevated temperatures.
