Industrial Applications
Glycol Ether DPM Acetate is widely used as a solvent and coalescing agent in coatings, inks, paints, and cleaning formulations. Its excellent resin solvency makes it ideal for improving film formation, leveling, and surface smoothness. It is also used in adhesives and specialty chemical applications where controlled evaporation is important to ensure uniform drying and optimal performance of formulations.
Physical Properties
Glycol Ether DPM Acetate is a clear, colorless liquid with a sweet, ether-like odor. It is combustible, has low toxicity, and exhibits moderate evaporation rate, making it effective as a coalescent. It has strong solvency for both polar and nonpolar resins and is chemically stable under typical industrial conditions. Its physical properties make it particularly suitable for high-solids coatings, inks, and solvent-based cleaning products.
