Industrial Applications
Glycol Ether DB is widely used as a solvent in industrial cleaners, coatings, inks, adhesives, and cosmetic formulations. Its slow evaporation, high solvency, and low VOC properties make it ideal for waterborne and solvent-based coatings, surface cleaners, and degreasing applications. It also serves as a coupling agent and coalescent in latex and polymer formulations, improving film formation and leveling.
Physical Properties
Glycol Ether DB is a colorless liquid with a low ether-like odor. It is miscible with water and many organic solvents, has a high boiling point, and is slow to evaporate. The compound is chemically stable, biodegradable, and exhibits low volatility, making it suitable for controlled industrial and commercial applications.
