Coco Amine 2 EO is commonly used in the oil and gas industry as an emulsifier, corrosion inhibitor, and wetting agent in drilling fluids, production chemicals, and asphaltene dispersants. Its amphiphilic nature enables strong adhesion to metal surfaces and compatibility with both oil- and water-based systems, enhancing emulsion stability and reducing corrosion. Coco Amine 2 EO is a non-ionic surfactant, known for its emulsifying abilities.
Physical Properties
Coco Amine 2 EO is a pale yellow liquid with a mild amine-like odor. It is partially soluble in water and fully soluble in alcohols and organic solvents. The combination of hydrophobic C12–C18 alkyl chains and hydrophilic ethylene oxide groups gives it effective nonionic co-surfactant properties with slight cationic character.
