Physical Properties
Diethanolamine (DEA) is a colorless to pale yellow, viscous liquid with a mild amine odor. It is highly soluble in water and miscible with many polar organic solvents. Diethanolamine has both hydroxyl and amine functional groups, which contribute to its hygroscopic nature, basicity, and ability to form salts and derivatives for diverse applications.
