Sodium Sulfite Anhydrous is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry for its strong antioxidant and preservative properties. It is commonly included in injectable solutions, topical preparations, and other pharmaceutical products susceptible to oxidative degradation.
Physical Properties
Sodium Sulfite Anhydrous is an inorganic salt that appears as a white crystalline solid. It is highly soluble in water and has a melting point of approximately 33°C, decomposing upon further heating to release sulfur dioxide. It is chemically stable under dry conditions but reacts readily with oxidizing agents.
