Alcohol, Anhydrous Reagent
Industrial Applications
Anhydrous Alcohol (ethanol or other pure alcohols) is widely used as an industrial solvent for coatings, inks, adhesives, and cleaning agents. It is also employed in laboratory and manufacturing settings as a reagent and a medium for chemical reactions. In addition, Anhydrous Alcohol is used as a carrier solvent in the formulation of cosmetics, fragrances, and personal care products.
Physical Properties
Anhydrous Alcohol is a colorless, volatile liquid with a characteristic alcohol odor. It is completely miscible with water and most organic solvents. It has a low viscosity, high volatility, and flammability, with a boiling point around 78°C (for ethanol). Its inert nature and chemical stability under standard conditions make it ideal for industrial, laboratory, and formulation uses.
