Rosehip Oil
Industrial Applications
Rosehip Oil is a natural vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of rose fruits, commonly Rosa canina or Rosa rubiginosa, and is highly valued in the cosmetic and personal care industry. It is widely used in skin care formulations such as facial oils, serums, creams, lotions, and anti-aging products due to its high content of essential fatty acids and natural antioxidants. Rosehip Oil is known for supporting skin regeneration, improving the appearance of scars, fine lines, and uneven skin tone, and enhancing overall skin hydration and elasticity. It is also incorporated into hair care products, including conditioners and scalp treatments, where it helps nourish the hair and improve shine and manageability. Additionally, Rosehip Oil is available in Organic, Kosher, Halal, Food, and Cosmetic grades, making it suitable for a broad range of applications. The Organic grade supports natural and eco-conscious formulations, while Kosher and Halal grades ensure compliance with dietary and cultural standards.
Physical Properties
Rosehip Oil is a clear to slightly cloudy liquid with a light golden to reddish-orange color and a mild, characteristic odor. It is insoluble in water but soluble in common organic solvents and oils. The oil has a lightweight, fast-absorbing texture and is rich in linoleic acid, linolenic acid, and oleic acid, as well as naturally occurring vitamins. Rosehip Oil is sensitive to oxidation and should be protected from prolonged exposure to heat, light, and air to maintain stability and efficacy.
