Macadamia Oil
Industrial Applications
Macadamia Oil is a natural triglyceride oil widely used in cosmetic and personal care formulations due to its high content of oleic and palmitoleic fatty acids, which closely resemble the lipids naturally found in human skin. In the cosmetics industry, it is used in skin care creams, lotions, serums, massage oils, lip balms, and hair care products to improve moisturization, skin softness, and barrier protection. Macadamia Oil provides excellent spreadability and a non-greasy feel, making it suitable for premium emulsions, anti-aging formulations, and products designed for dry, sensitive, or mature skin. It is also used as a carrier oil for active ingredients and fragrances, enhancing product stability and sensory performance. Additionally, Macadamia Oil is available in Organic, Kosher, Halal, and Food grades, making it suitable for natural and ethically certified products, dietary applications, and functional ingredients in edible formulations.
Physical Properties
Macadamia Oil is a clear to pale yellow oily liquid with a mild, nutty odor. It is insoluble in water but soluble in most organic solvents and oils. The oil has good oxidative stability compared to many other vegetable oils and remains liquid at room temperature. Its lightweight texture, low viscosity, and high skin affinity contribute to its smooth feel and excellent absorption in topical applications.
