Industrial Applications
Sulisobenzone is an organic ultraviolet (UV) filter used to absorb harmful UV radiation. It is commonly incorporated into sunscreens, moisturizers, makeup, lip balms, hair products, lotions, and creams to provide UV protection and prevent skin damage.
Physical Properties
Sulisobenzone typically appears as a pale yellow to light amber solid or powder. It is sparingly soluble in water but readily soluble in organic solvents and oils, making it suitable for incorporation into oil-based and water-based personal care formulations.
