Stearyl Amine Distilled
Industrial Applications
Stearyl Amine Distilled is used as a corrosion inhibitor, emulsifier, and flotation collector. It forms hydrophobic films on metal surfaces to protect against corrosion, stabilizes emulsions in drilling fluids and production systems, and enhances mineral recovery in froth flotation processes due to its strong surface activity and selective adsorption on mineral surfaces. Additionally, Stearyl Amine Distilled is commonly used in the synthesis of surfactants.
Physical Properties
Stearyl Amine Distilled is a high-purity, saturated primary fatty amine that appears as a white to off-white waxy solid or flakes at room temperature with a faint amine-like odor. It is insoluble in water but soluble in alcohols and organic solvents, and its long C18 alkyl chain provides strong hydrophobicity and surface activity.
