Industrial Applications
Homosalate is an organic compound widely used as a chemical ultraviolet (UV) filter. It absorbs ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation and helps prevent skin damage. It is commonly incorporated into sunscreens, lotions, creams, lip balms, and moisturizers.
Physical Properties
Homosalate is a pale yellow, oily liquid. It is lipophilic, soluble in oils and organic solvents, and stable under normal formulation conditions.
