Industrial Application
Disuccinoyl Peroxide is primarily used as a polymerization initiator in the production of plastics and resins and as a crosslinking agent for elastomers and rubber compounds. It is valued for its controlled decomposition and predictable radical generation, which support uniform polymer chain growth, consistent molecular weight distribution, and enhanced mechanical properties. Disuccinoyl Peroxide is also applied in polymer-based coatings and adhesives, where precise radical initiation contributes to uniform film formation, strong adhesion, and improved performance of finished materials. Physical Properties
Disuccinoyl Peroxide is a white crystalline solid that is slightly soluble in water and more readily soluble in many common organic solvents, such as acetone and ethanol.
