Sodium Ferric EDDHA
Industrial Applications
EDDHA-Fe 6% 3.0 is widely used in agriculture and horticulture as an effective iron chelate to correct and prevent iron deficiencies in plants. It is particularly valuable in alkaline and calcareous soils where traditional iron sources are less effective. The product is applied through soil treatments or fertigation systems, ensuring efficient iron uptake and promoting healthy plant growth, improved chlorophyll formation, and higher crop yields.
Physical Properties
EDDHA-Fe 6% 3.0 appears as a dark red to brown granular or powdery material, with an iron content of approximately 6% in chelated form. It is highly stable under alkaline conditions, remaining soluble and available to plants even at high soil pH levels. Its molecular structure, based on ethylenediamine-N,N'-bis(2-hydroxyphenylacetic acid), provides strong chelating ability, ensuring long-lasting effectiveness in agricultural applications.
